I Joined…
Polyglots
Polyglots is a team of WordPress dedicated to the translation of text from different languages into theirs. To do so, you have to be a native speaker of that language. If you do so, you can translate plugins, themes, patterns, and even WordPress itself, proposing words a phrase can be translated into.

Why did I Join?
I joined Polyglots for two reasons. One of them is that I am a native Costa Rican Spanish speaker, meaning I can translate text from English to my language and region. Another reason is that the other courses do not attract me as much as Polyglots does. For me, they looked boring or complicated. I am also quite good at English, not as much as a native speaker, but not awful at it.

My Contribution Project
My contribution project will mainly consist of translating strings of words in English into Spanish from Costa Rica. I will focus is translating plugins and themes. Because I am a contributor and not and editor, I can only propose translations. My objective is to translate at least two hours a week, because I cannot do more than that due to highschool.
What I want to achieve

With this project, I want to learn how translations are made so that people across the world understand websites, plugins, themes, patterns and more. I also want to help people from Costa Rica to be able to read the media of their devices in Spanish from the country. I am not only helping myself by doing this to help my English but also helping millions of people across the seven provinces of Costa Rica.
